Dr. Russell Earl
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Russell Earl is a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian who has been serving the community as the owner of our veterinary hospital since November 2010. With a profound interest in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Dentistry, and Endocrinology, Dr. Earl brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice.
As an active member of esteemed veterinary organizations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association (NJVMA), Dr. Earl remains committed to staying updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
For Dr. Earl, the most fulfilling aspect of being a veterinarian is the opportunity to strengthen the Human-Animal Bond between pet owners and their beloved companions. He believes in providing comprehensive care that not only promotes the physical well-being of animals but also nurtures the emotional connection between pets and their owners.
Dr. Earl earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin in 1981, where he consistently demonstrated exceptional academic performance and received recognition on the Dean’s List. He then pursued his veterinary education at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1986. Dr. Earl’s passion for veterinary medicine remained unwavering throughout his educational journey.
Growing up in Parsippany, NJ, and Milwaukee, WI, Dr. Earl’s ambition to become a veterinarian was a lifelong aspiration. The influence of a family friend who worked in the veterinary field further ignited his passion for animal care. Even before embarking on his veterinary career, Dr. Earl gained practical experience by working in a small, family-owned pet store and volunteering at a veterinary hospital during his high school years.
Dr. Earl’s love for animals extends to his own furry family. Family pets include Buttercup, a Maltese, Grand-dogs Mowgli and “sister” Mia, both French Bulldogs and a loveable rat named Provolone. Mowgli is a bit of a celebrity, having been featured in newspaper, magazine, and internet articles, as well as a television news segment, after being an active participant in Dr Earl’s daughter’s wedding. Additionally, the veterinary hospital is home to Leona, a charismatic parrot that adds an element of charm to the clinic.
Outside of his veterinary practice, Dr. Earl embraces various hobbies and interests. He finds solace in music, particularly attending concerts and musical theater performances. Nature beckons him, and he enjoys the serenity of hiking and playing golf. Dr. Earl’s thirst for knowledge and personal growth is evident as he endeavors to learn to play the guitar.
Dr. Earl cherishes his family and is the father of three beautiful daughters who bring joy and fulfillment to his life.
Dr. Earl’s dedication to the veterinary profession extends beyond his clinical responsibilities. He has formerly headed up the Hospital Inspection Committee of the NJVMA, showcasing his commitment to maintaining high standards of care. His expertise in animal welfare has been acknowledged through his publication on the subject in the NJVMA publication. Furthermore, Dr. Earl has been interviewed for an article in the Star-Ledger, shedding light on the topic of Canine Influenza.
Through his unwavering dedication, vast knowledge, and genuine compassion, Dr. Russell Earl continues to positively impact the lives of animals and their owners, ensuring their well-being and fostering the Human-Animal Bond.
Dr. Lauren Semanchik
Veterinarian
Dr. Lauren Semanchik is a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian with a passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their families. She joined our hospital in May 2023 as a staff member after initially starting in 2020 as a relief veterinarian. Dr. Semanchik’s expertise lies in the fields of geriatric care, internal medicine, and dentistry, where she utilizes her extensive knowledge and skills to improve the lives of her furry patients.
Dr. Semanchik is a proud member of several prestigious veterinary organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. Her involvement in these organizations demonstrates her commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and her dedication to providing the highest standard of care.
She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she obtained a degree in Microbiology in 2013. During her undergraduate years, Dr. Semanchik received the Honors in Liberal Arts award, showcasing her academic excellence and commitment to her studies. She then attended the University of Wisconsin for veterinary school, graduating in 2018. Throughout her veterinary education, she consistently showcased her passion for animals by working as a technician and gaining valuable experience in the critical care unit.
Dr. Semanchik’s journey to becoming a veterinarian was motivated by her deep connection with animals from an early age. Growing up in Tewksbury, NJ, she found great companionship and solace in their presence, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Her childhood experiences continue to inspire her to provide the best possible care to pets and support their families during challenging times.
In her personal life, Dr. Semanchik shares her home with two beloved pets. Sneakers, her 21-year-old Domestic Shorthaired cat, has been her faithful companion since she was just ten years old. Additionally, she has a Chihuahua mix named Stevie Nicks, whom she lovingly adopted as a disabled puppy. Dr. Semanchik’s pets hold a special place in her heart, and she understands the bond between humans and their animal companions.
Beyond her veterinary pursuits, Dr. Semanchik enjoys indulging in her hobbies and interests. She finds joy in experiencing live music, cultivating beautiful gardens through her passion for gardening, and expressing her creativity through interior design projects. These activities provide her with balance and inspiration, enabling her to bring a well-rounded perspective to her veterinary practice.
Dr. Semanchik also dedicates her time and expertise to working with Lap Of Love, an organization focused on providing compassionate end-of-life care for pets. This involvement showcases her commitment to supporting families during difficult times and ensuring their beloved companions receive the utmost comfort and dignity.

Amy
Vet Tech, Inventory Manager, Head Tech
Amy is a dedicated and passionate individual who has built a rewarding career in the veterinary field. As a Vet Tech, Inventory Manager, and Head Tech, she has acquired extensive knowledge and skills that make her an invaluable asset to the veterinary hospital where she works. Amy began her journey by obtaining a degree from Centenary College in 2013, where she laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors.
Although Amy’s practical experience and continuous professional development have allowed her to excel in her role, since March 14th, 2014, she has been a valued member of the veterinary hospital’s team, providing exceptional care to animals and ensuring inventory management runs smoothly.
Amy’s love for animal care blossomed during her time in high school, where she discovered her deep connection with animals and the joy that comes from helping them. This passion has driven her to pursue a fulfilling career centered around providing compassionate and effective veterinary care.
Outside of work, Amy cherishes her free time and enjoys spending it with her loved ones. She values family time and engages in activities such as yard work, camping, and hiking. Additionally, Amy finds solace in relaxation, watching movies, and indulging in her love for reading.
Amy’s diverse range of hobbies includes woodworking, where she skillfully creates unique pieces from scraps, and cooking, where she can showcase her culinary talents. These hobbies allow her to express her creativity and bring a sense of fulfillment to her life.
In addition to her thriving career, Amy is a pet lover herself. She shares her life with two adorable pets. Bayou, a delightful Golden mix, is four years old and has a unique habit of sitting on the back of the couch like a cat. Appa, an energetic American Staffy Terrier, is two years old and has a voracious appetite for all types of food, showcasing his lightning-fast agility.
Amy’s dedication to her profession, love for animals, and diverse range of hobbies and interests make her a well-rounded and inspiring individual. She continues to make a positive impact in the lives of both animals and their owners, always striving to provide the best possible care and support.

Work Experience: I began working at this veterinary hospital on July 5th, 2022.
Love for Animal Care: I’ve always had a deep affection for animals, and it was through my experiences at the veterinary hospital that I realized my love for animal care. Witnessing the dedication and compassion of the veterinary team inspired me to pursue a career in the field.
Pets and Pet Hobbies: I am the proud owner of a 14-year-old cat named Cuddles. She is a Domestic Short Haired cat and was initially a feral cat found in a friend’s yard. Cuddles holds a special place in my heart; despite her rough start, she has become a beloved member of our family.
Personal Information: In my free time, I cherish moments spent with my family. We enjoy engaging in activities together, such as baking and solving jigsaw puzzles. These hobbies provide a creative outlet for me and allow me to unwind and relax while connecting with my loved ones.

Love for Animal Care: Susan discovered her passion for animal care at the young age of 5 and has since dedicated herself to helping animals.
Pets and Pet Hobbies: Susan shares her life with six cats, each with their own unique personality and stories. Her feline companions include Tyler, a 16-year-old Exotic Shorthair; Thomas, an 8-year-old Domestic Shorthair; Mabel, a 5-year-old Domestic Shorthair whom Susan helped deliver and raise after being rejected by her mother; Toby and Tucker, both 4-year-old Domestic Shorthairs and biological brothers, and Maxwell, a 9-month-old long haired cat. Susan has a special bond with her cats, as they were all foster kittens at some point.
Personal Information: Susan enjoys various hobbies and interests during her free time. She is an avid follower of the New York Yankees, New York Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys sports teams. Additionally, she actively contributes to animal welfare by volunteering at the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter, where she fosters kittens to help them find loving homes. Susan’s dedication to both sports and animal care reflects her passion for supporting her favorite teams and making a positive impact on the lives of animals in need.

Jane is a dedicated Customer Service Representative (CSR) with a passion for animal care. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Montclair State College. Jane has extensive experience working at a veterinary hospital and has been with Long Valley Animal Hospital since September 2011. Her love for animals blossomed during her childhood, surrounded by dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, and fish.
In her free time, Jane enjoys various activities and hobbies. She prioritizes her health by working out and taking long walks. She also finds joy in Polynesian dance and is an active member of a local book club. Jane contributes to her community by volunteering for Meals on Wheels and serving as a member of the local CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).
Family is important to Jane, and she values spending quality time with her loved ones. She cherishes moments with her husband, Pat, and their adult children. Additionally, Jane adores her grand dog, Cannoli. In her home, she has a delightful 11-year-old Domestic Short Hair cat named Petunia, who has a quirky preference for drinking water from faucets.
With her strong work ethic, educational background, and genuine love for animals, Jane is committed to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the well-being of pets and their owners at the veterinary hospital.

Courtney has a beloved Yorkie named Bella, who is nine years old. Bella brings joy and companionship to Courtney’s life. In addition to her furry companion, Courtney also takes care of 12 chickens, making her experience with animals diverse and enriching.

During her free time, Courtney enjoys being outdoors and engaging in various activities. She finds solace and adventure in hiking, allowing her to explore nature and appreciate its beauty. Running is another hobby that keeps her active and energized. Additionally, Courtney enjoys kayaking, which provides her with a sense of serenity and the opportunity to experience water-based adventures. Love for Animal Care: Dani’s passion for animal care began at the tender age of 3 when she expressed her desire to become a veterinarian. Her love and dedication to animals have only grown stronger since then.

Dani shares her life with several furry companions. Oliver, a 4-year-old Domestic Short Hair cat, holds a special place in her heart. Oliver’s unique background as a rescue from Kuwait adds an interesting story to their bond. Additionally, Dani’s dog Stanley, a 7-year-old Pitbull/Bullmastiff mix, has been a loyal companion for the past six years. Stanley was adopted from Dani’s vet tech school in Pittsburgh, further strengthening their connection. Lastly, Dani recently adopted a delightful 8-month-old Domestic Short Hair kitten named Esmerelda, who was fostered at LVAH. These pets bring joy, love, and fulfillment to Dani’s life.

During her free time, Dani enjoys various activities that bring her happiness and relaxation. She values quality time spent with her beloved dog, Stanley, and cherishes outdoor walks and basking in the sun together. Additionally, Dani has a passion for shopping, which allows her to indulge in finding new treasures and expressing her personal style. University Degree: Jennifer studied Animal Science at Rutgers University, and she has extensive experience in general practice, specialty, and emergency medicine. She holds certifications as a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Nursing Supervisor, and Department Manager.

Love for Animal Care: Jennifer’s love for animal care originated in her childhood. She used to tell her parents that she would have puppies instead of babies, displaying her early passion for animals. Growing up with a grandfather who ran a farm and cared for animals of various species, Jennifer’s love and dedication to animals were further nurtured. She finds joy in working with pets and their families, striving to provide exceptional care and experiences at the veterinary facility. Jennifer believes in fostering meaningful relationships with clients and patients, recognizing that it positively influences the level of care and medicine provided.
Pets:
Jennifer’s home is blessed with four fur babies who are cherished members of her family. Senor Flan, a 14-year-old cat, and Queso, a 3-year-old cat, add feline companionship to her household. Additionally, Randy, a 14-year-old dog, and Mischa, a 1-year-old dog, bring their unique personalities and unconditional love to her life. Jennifer has rescued and spoils these four-legged friends, providing them with a loving and nurturing home.

Outside of her professional role, Jennifer embraces her role as a devoted wife and mother to three children and her four fur babies. She finds fulfillment in fostering kittens, contributing to their well-being, and finding them loving forever homes. Jennifer enjoys wine tasting, indulging in the flavors and experiences it offers. Baking is another hobby she finds joy in, creating delicious treats for her loved ones. Day trips with her family provide opportunities for quality time and exploration. These activities and interests reflect Jennifer’s dedication to her family and her passion for creating memorable experiences both inside and outside of the veterinary world.
